how to add new salt?

Was wondering what was the best way to go about this? i assume don't do a water change with only the new salt...how slowly should I do it...every water change I use 2 1/2 cups of salt should I do 1/2cup at a time till im at the full amount like 2 cups of old salt 1/2 cup new then next time 1 1/2 old salt 1 new..etc? what do you think ?

Just do a water change with the new salt....That's what I have done

Whatever percentage you normally change...mix the new salt and do a "normal" w/c with it

Mix the salt in water in a bucket first, let it set for a day or so and make sure you do not see any salt. Never mix it in the tank!
