by the way its a 90 gallon with 3 green chromis and a maroon clown
please people i gotta catch this thing

when trying to catch a fish, i usually give them some food, usually flake. When the fish is eating at the surface, i quickly scoop it up with my net. It is a 50/50 chance and sometimes is very frustrating. But if you can draw the fish into a corner, in an open place away from LR. You can usually catch the fish.:)

Sad to say, but you'll probably have to take all the LR out of the tank. If the yellow tang has ich, then all your fish will need to be treated. 1 week isn't a long enough quaranteen period. You should do at least 3 weeks, preferably 4.

Alot of patientce, someone else helping you, you might be able to direct it into a small bucket. Try to avoid, or becareful with using nets on a tang. Its a pain catching a fish in a reef or with alot of live rock.

Read Terry's article about netting before you proceed. There are better ways.

Man, those fishies are fast! To catch mine, I siphoned my water way down, and divided my tank with a plastic cutting board ( you use whatever you got, right:D ). That way it cuts down the places it can go. Used an empty ice cream pail, and corraled him in with my net. Only took about 45min.

thanks everybody i finally got him after about an hour:rolleyes:
i used the divider idea got it down to about half the tank and netted it now i know to qt him for a few weeks

If you absolutley go crazy just get 8lb test fishing line, a panfish hook, and put a little piece of shrimp on it. Just lower it in the tank and fish for him! lol:D
