how to clean bioballls?>

how often should my media be clean ie. bioballs? and how should they be cleaned? in my tank? in fresh? lol in another salt tank? advise..

Bring it out of the container and place it in a 1/4 pail of saltwater from your tank, or just enought to make it afloat, and begin cleaning your balls by rubbing it gently a couple of times (you don't want to kill the bacteria here) just enough to remove trapped particles. Do this every 6 months and you will be happy with the results.
