How to clean macro algae? msg

I have a ton of grape macro algae in my nano and I want to clean it and feed it to my angels and tang. The problem is there are fish lice in my nano and I don't want to risk getting them in my big tank. How can I make sure there are no bugs in the macro with out killing the plants? Over night fresh water dip or maybe over night in saltwater with copper?

Look up products titled as Reef Dips..and see if they will kill the bugs you have.

Nope. Some of these bugs are really tough. I would not even consider it.

:happyfish TOTALLY agree w/ bang guy. A lot of those creatures can live in fresh water for long time, and it's just too risky. -ali

How about freezing it? I know that it will kill the plants, but at least it will get ride of the lice. I've got a big Juvi Empretor who will destroy it any, heck, he janked my veggie clip off the tank wall last night! That guy likes his salad!
