How to clean Pinpoint PH probe

Have my 125g reef up for a little over a year now. The only thing that I have done with my Pinpoint PH monitor is change the 9V battery a couple of times. I guess I should have been cleaning my probe regularly.
My problem: My PH is jumping from 6.7 to 9.1 and I know this is a false reading.
Is my Probe shot?
If not, how do I clean it and how often?
should I just get a new probe and calibrate it?
Thanks,
Gary

I have cleaned mine with vineger and a small bottle brush, then you will have to recalibrate. If that doesnt work then its time to replace.

Get some calibration fluids and recalibrate,it should be fine they usually last for a couple of years. if it starts doing the same thing within a few days then its a goner.

Thanks guys,
Yeah, I tried to recalibrate it, but it just was not holding. I would get the 4.0 range, but then that would throw off the 7.0 range and vice versa. I since have ordered a new probe and calibration liquids.

Got my new PH probe today, and that was definately it. I will make an effort to clean it regularly, instead of just replacing the battery.
****Now my calcium probe is not calibrating******
Everytime I try to calibrate, I get ERR for the 100PPM and 1000PPM
I cleaned it, unscrewed the tip, put new calibration solution in it, and nothing worked.
Any more suggestions?? Or do I need a new probe??
Thanks,
Gary

The probes for the calcium monitor should be replaced very often, so that's most likely the problem. Are you running the calcium monitor constantly or just for spot checks?

How well does it work? Have you checked it against salifert?

Early---actually I have and I am getting a 600ppm reading everyday for the past week. I know that this does not make any sense because my alkalinity is also high or right on target(3.8)
I have not added any kalk or liquid calcium in the past week either, and I still cannot get my calcium level to go down.
Any suggestions??
