The article you posted was how uncertified folks jump...they are paired with instructors. That means they are attached to the instructor, strapped together they jump as one person. Surely you don't intend to kill someone else along with your old silly self?

Lastly: You said you wanted to end it all because you wouldn't want to be a burden on others, if you were too sick to care for yourself you would end it all...the old lady in your story has to get a physical before she was allowed to jump...a sick old man at the end of his mental copacity would not be allowed to jump.
