How to edit pics

When you post a pic and want to go back and make corrections drawing lines and such to annotate changes, what software does everyone use?

LOL...I use microsoft paint....but have you ever seen any of my drawings

I might have to follow this thread so I can learn how to also

You read my mind..LOL..I was hoping for a better way to do things.
My current method:
I take a picture, transfer it to paint, my Microsoft Gallery allows me to open paint from a drop down menu, I make my lines and what not, save as..WHATEVER.. then I can download the picture to this site.

I used PhotoImpact Pro version 10 for quite a few years and loved it. Haven't been able to get it onto my new computer since I lost one of the discs but plan on upgrading to whatever the newer version is soon. Probably version 12 or 13 by now.
