if youre doing large amounts a 32 gallon + trash can is the way to do it. but you can mix 5 gallons in a bucket at a time. i did buckets for my 55 but the 120 required a trash can..
i use a powerhead to mix it then put a tube on the outlet of the powerhead and pump it into the tank...pretty simple quick and easy

ya im doing the same thing but i just mixed the water in the 30 gallon trash can/ container thing i have and then pumped it in, and then some of the salt was at the bottom of the tank so i took my power head with a tube on it inside the tank and mixed it around more and now it looks good so far, i have to fill up the rest today.. its a 125 gallon.. lol

depends on what u want to do i just added the salt mixed it around till i saw none at the bottom and pumped it into the tank, other people mix it and wait 24 hours (i wait a couple hours - 24 hours for water change salt water, but for filling i just add it right away.. its gonna have to sit with live rock and sand for atleast a couple weeks anyways..

I read it somewhere here a while ago but I also add a airstone to add oxygen to the water because mixing the salt with the water depletes the oxygen or adds C02. Cant remember which post but it was a while ago. I figured it wont hurt so I use a airstone once the water clears up and then wait the 24 hrs.

when I started my 75 gallon I just mixed RO water 5 gallons at a time in a home depot bucket and added about a full Ikea cup (lol) each 5 gallons for the first few dumps into the tank. with each bucket I heated up the RO water to about 100 degrees to help disolve the salt. When the water was about 1/3 full in the tank I started to test the Specific Gravity and Salinity each 5 gallons I did and adjusted how much salt I mixed in. I left about 10 gallons not filled up at the top so when i dumped my live sand it it would leave enough room, also so I could adjust my SG and salinity after the water settled and cleared up... it took about 22 hours for the temp to get down to 75.5 degrees which for the most part that temp stays really constant in my tank without a heater. I have a heater in there but it has yet to turn on, at first i thought it was broken but I put it in a fresh water 2 gallon jug of water that was in the fridge and it heated it up to 74 degrees which is where I had it set to. So I guess I am pretty lucky that the heater has yet had to turn on in my tank yet.

not long at all, basically however long it takes to fill the can. just make sure when the water starts clearing that you cant see any salt in the bottom, make sure its all mixed in.
as far as the air theory youre adding it into a tank thats been running i assume. there should be enough air in that water that the new water will be fine to add back in.
i mix and let sit for as long as it takes to syphon down to where i need the water level to be and add it right back in. i know this isnt the way most do it but im not having issues doing it.

just noticed you said "fill" the tank. if its a new setup you can mix the salt in the tank. i do think that youre better premixing though, seems to not cloud as bad that way
