how to fix cracked sump

i have an acryilic sump and both sides are cracked, can i use silicon to cover the cracks? or what should i use?

Have two pieces of acrylic cut that are large enought to cover the cracked area. Drain and dry the sump apply liberal silicone to both pieces of acrylic (especially on the outer edges) then place one inside the sump over the crack and one outside. Should solve your problem.

silicone doesnt properly adhere to plastics long term. it would be likley to spring a leak later. use acryllic glue rather than silicone.

(with acryllic glue you may not even need the pieces just glue the cracks)
