how do you frag an sps
like a monti or birds nest
and do all sps corals frag the same?

snap off a healthy portion, super-glue gel (cryoacrylate) to a chunk of LR rubble.

For branching SPS cut off a branch or group of branches with a sharp pair of cutters. Using super glue gel glue the branch(s) onto a pc of rock work. For a single pc. of branch I like to glue the branch laying down so that more corallites are exposed for upward growth. This will help to grow more branches from a single branch faster.
For plating coral you can again us a pair of sharp cutter, or a dremel and cut pa pc. off the plate. A pie shape, a ring around the outside edge that can then be cut into pcs. Then super glue gel the frag onto a rock.
