Ok so im going frag crazy here........ where would one cut if he wanted to frag a tree coral? I have several branches coming out of the main stalk... would I just snip off a branch close to the stalk?
Also whats a suggested method of attaching one of these to live rock? This looks like a job for superglue gel to me!

I wish I could help but I am looking for the same info for a Colt Coral. I assume it would be about the same. Consider this a bump so w get some help.

colt coral fragging and tree coral fragging are very much alike.... so here's a link that I hope can help you.

by the way speg, how big is your tree coral? I have a couple smaller frags and just wondering how big they got, and how fast.

Tree corals are fairly easy to frag. Mine drops branches all the time and saves me the hassle. I just dropped a batch of frags off to a store about 1 1/2 hours away and they are doing great. They say that they usually sell out of them within a day or two after I give them a batch. I generally drop off a dozen or so at a time. My kenya trees are very prolific!
To frag it, simply snip off a small branch. I place mine in a rubble pile near one corner of my tank. They grow and attach themselves to the rubble in a few days. I've heard reports that they can take up to a week. (You can take a small ziploc container with rubble in it and put mesh fabric over it if you are worried that critters or current might move the babies.)
Good luck! Happy Fragging!

Mine is about 6 inches tall or so and fans its branches out about the same length. I got mine around 2? months ago and I feel it has grown around 35-50% larger from when I first introduced it into my tank.
I appreciate the info 'Tahoe Ocean'! I shall post my failure/success once I have worked up the courage of cutting my beautiful tree ;)
