I have a candy cane already glued to the LR and there is a bubble growing on the side. Its slowly getting bigger. Is there any way to get rid of it without having to get the whole rock out? :notsure:

Good advice. Try to use a rolling motion if you can.

It will keep getting bigger. Some of them are harder to pop than others.

I got rid of some of mine during a water change. I used the "Python" and took off the large adapter and used just the hose and put it right over the bubble and while the water was being syphoned, I scraped off the bubble. It seemed to work well. Maybe that'll help.

i just went through this last week or so. The best scenario for me ,from the great feedback people gave was:
to get a syphon started near the bubble then dive in, and remove the bubble by hand. I grabbed the bubble and wiggled it loose, came right out. If the bubble broke I was going to use the syphon to clean up the bubble. The piece I removed was abouth the size of a marble. The outer skin was pretty rugged ,would have taken alot to break it. This so far has been my only bubble algae, that's what worked for me.
best of luck

I've heard that emeraldgreen crabs do a good job of controlling it.
