I believe the mandarin is part of the goby family-I think blennies are not considered gobys...... :notsure: :thinking:

Mandarins are not gobys. That is a common misconception in this hobby.

Very uncommon-I would not count on a mandarin eating prepared foods.

will on this fish site, i went to gobies and there was mandarin in with the list of gobies, i went to blennies i didnt see a mandarin there,,, :notsure: i wonder????

Hmmm....maybe I'm not remembering correctly, but I thought someone posted on here that mandarins are not gobies. I think I'll start another thread and ask! :joy:

Mandarins are not gobies. Unfortuntely moswt websites that sell them post them with the other gobies. It's probably because they are close so rather then start another group to manage they just post them with the gobies since they are bottom fish.

Well whatever he is-LOL-we love him- :joy: we have had him for over 2 years-he was little when we got him - so maybe he got used to eating some of the other foods-but our tank is established with lots of pods!
