hey.
heres the question of the day..

how do you hang/mount a TEK 8 lamp system from the wall behind the tank?
i have had a few bulbs out due to a crappy ballast.. now im putting the new ballast in and want to raise it a little higher.. because wont it almsot shock the corals? its like 2 bulbs out both actinics..
ne how how do i mount it? i was thinking huge 90 degree mounts from the wall and then let it hang from there? and a shelf on top to make it look complete. but do they sell a like 4 food "L" shaped mount?! lol
thanks again!

check sunlight supply they are who produce it. goto their site.
Also I use the 8 bulb tek and my corals are loving it.

If you have access to some steel, and a drill, you could easily make a few attachments that would mount to the wall, and support the light.

This may sound goofy but oh well. Try a plant nursery and look at hanging plant mounts. Nice long L shape hangers that also probably look pretty nice.
BTW. I changed out my Tek ballast with an Ice Cap 660 on my 4 bulb section and WOW! what a difference. Those 4 bulbs alone are pulling like 300 watts.......
