How to properly aclimate nas snails

Just be careful, when snails are offered in those volumes they can be mud snails, not actual nassarius.

They were listed as nas and "also known as mud" which is fine becuase I am getting them so they help keep the sand mixed up

I've always acclimated the same way as my fish without problems. Bag float over 1-2 hours and slowly add some water, pull them out at the end and discard water. Probably a better way out there but it's always worked for me.

Ah, so they are then. They aren't nassarius at all and are called Ilyanassa obsoleta.
They have been found to carry a lot of trematode flukes.
How big is your tank for that many snails?

The best way to acclimate those snail is to just hold them above the waterline on clean glass until they attach. They are coastal Snails and will enter the water at their own pace, self-acclimizing.
As stated above they are not Nassarius and are omnivores.

Just to add my 2 cents i bought a mix of Nas and Periwinkle snails on the big auction, they were shipped to me dry and I plunked them into a container of tank water (a country crock one if i remember right). When they started to move around they got plunked into the main tank.
Just a note, all these snails, especially the periwinkles are insanely adept at aquarium escape. I put none in my fuge, but they have crawled on the outside of the siphon hose into the fuge, i pick them off the outside of the tank and off the J tube for my HOB filter frequently. I have picked a few of them out of the light hood but thats become more rare.
Just know what you're getting. Mine eat everything i put in the tank, so that's good for me :)

I had 4 Nass in my 29gal and I felt that was more then enough, and 0 snails in my 90... I would be extremely concerned with die-off from that many snails, both, from the initial shipment there's bound to be already dead ones, and then snails dying over time from lack of food.
