how to start

Hi Matt
Pretty much everything I have read suggests that if you are starting out with saltwater for the first time, you should not start out with anything smaller than 40 Gallons. Smaller tanks can be done, but they take a lot more attention because the water quality can be very easily thrown off. It is suggested by most not to try a nano tank until you are somewhat experienced. I think 40-55G size tank is a great size to start off with because it gives more room for error not to mention plenty of room for lots of cool fish & corals...yet isn't a size that would be too overwhelming. I am starting out with a Oceanic 46G Bowfront right now....I love it.
