How to stop food thieves?

My LTA is not doing well. I think I added him to a too new tank and water quality wasn't right at first. Well anyway he likes to stay in the back of my tank (where very little light reaches) and this makes feeding him terribly hard. I place silver sides or squid or mysis directly on him and he lets it sit there for a while and as soon as he tries to envelope it here come the Hermits and whatnot to take it away. I have tried to move him by hand to a more conveinient spot but nooo not him. On a side note I have handled him/her/it many times bare handed and he only sticks to me, I think it's a side benefit of working construction.
Anyway today I repostioned my jets on my pumps to try to get him to LIKE a different spot.
What else can I do?

I have the same problem with my peppermints and cleaner shrimp, whenever I feed my bubble coral they are right there stealing the food. I have to wave a turkey baster around to try and keep them at bay. It drives me nuts!

Same happens to me especially since I target feed most of my corals.... I find that my cleaner loves me too because I usually may hand feed him. I will squirt thebaster and s into a back corner of the tank and gives me enough time to hit the corals while he plays scooping everything in the corner.

Yep! That is why it takes me 2 hours to feed all my corals. Have to do one at a time and they eat so darn slow!!!

Yep, especially my bubble. It takes FOREVER. Kids are screaming, dogs are barking, doorbells ringing, and I'm standing there guarding corals against food thieves!
