If someone could help me out here it would be great I have a canon sd500 digital camera but the flash doesnt go through the glass and the pictures come out bad. So if I shoot them w/o the flash they are ok. at 7 megapixels.
the prob is for me to get it on the boards. I have photobucket and i paid to upgrade to photobucket pro..but the pictures are around 4000x3000 or more than 5 mb. I've seen professional pictures on the boards and the pixels are like 230x360 how is this done ? I hope i'm making sense i'll put 2 pictures here of my ricordeas one is from my digital camera and not as good as the other one from my friends professional camera. however he did something ans his picture is like 360x230 and mine is worse looking at is 3000x4000. thanks...the first pic is the digital camera the second is my friends who is a photographer and computer savy. I aso included a 3rd pic from my I phone.

just resize the picture with what ever photo editing software you have? Also if you put the camera flush against the glass the flash should go through also try using a tripod and remote to reduce the amount of blur.

You just reduce the size (the number of pixels) to whatever you desire.
Computer screen resolution is usually between 72 and 96 dpi. The images you see on the internet (like the ricordea pics) are the same resolution, it's just that the second one is in a lot better focus than the others.

A tripod helps, especially with the darker light situations, and slow down your shutter speed and lower your iso. Look into getting a macro lense too!
Photobucket has a couple different ways of posting photos, you can also resize them via photobucket and it is pretty simple to do, you can also link to them use the img code and you don't have to resize them just copy and paste the code into your post and whammy.

even if you dont have a macro lens, your camera may have a macro or super macro setting. look into those as that will help the most with focus.

the problem with that camera is only the fact that you cannot manually focus i beleive. Unlike SLR cameras that u can manually focus on whatever u want to. Thats why ur pictures are coming out blurry i think

I use to sell them in the 70's and 80's the were hot and we did alot in sales for those products and accessories...since the new wave of digital has come along those are that popular...although some of the best pictures can ony be taken on SLR cameras from the 70's and 80's...the point was they were nice pictures. or as you might want to call it photographs..
