Yes, I am quite aware of the issues regarding freshwater fish as feeders. However, fatty food is better than no food during the short (hopefully
) time that it takes to wean the fish over to frozen.
In the end, you want to be feeding the frogfish a variety of healthy foods ie. shrimp, squid, clam, oysters, scallops, etc, etc. It may be hard, but use your head and figure out how to work with the fish and get it to eat frozen. Step one might be to feed with tweezers - then put a small peice of frozen on the tweezers with the live food - then increase the size of the frozen until the fish recognizes that anything on the tweezers is dinner and you've got it made.
