How would you plumb this tank?

I did some research and I do like the idea of a silent system (so does my wife), the sound of trickling water in our living room can get bothersome. I'm curious if the beananimal system may be overkill for a smaller tan this size. I guess I still have some research to do but at least I have some choices. Now I have to figure out what filter setup I can run, I'm starting another thread for that though...

The BeanAnimal can be incorporated into any style tank......Just as he shows in his illustrations it's a pretty simple design, and as I pointed out before it just needs to be large enough to house the elbows used....Actually the diagram he shows how his is setup would be very similar to what your after on yours......
I can attest as to the quietness and simplicity of tuning the system and MarvelFan can attest as well, he just employed it on his new setup as well....The 2 areas you'll get noise from and it's not a design flaw, but end user error, but you don't want the water to fall a great distance from the top of the overflow to the water surface in the overflow box.....When I first built my pipes I noticed this, and through a lot of water testing I came up with the novel idea to see if I could quiet it, and by simply raising the height of the pipes the noise was gone from that area....The other area you could get noise from is where it exits your drains and drops into the sump.....This is pretty much covered in the thread you read, and just before the water surface drill yourself a relief hole....Works wonders, but it's all about being precise with the depth of your drain line into the sump......These are both easy fixes
This design will work for you....I would use his guidelines of 1" bulkheads.....Your not wanting to push tons of flow through the overflow and 1" would be plenty, and as stated earlier follow the design to a "T" and it's smooth sailing.....The design was changed from the initial drawing....You only need 1 valve on the system and that is on the siphon line itself.....not the 3 as Bean drew it up.....That valve is where all your adjustments are made for tuning it.....Takes about 10 minutes tops to get it dialed in and then I enjoy testing the system and watching it flush and reset itself......It's horrible when dumb things like that entertain you!!!!!
