I posted this in a neither thread but didnt get much responce so I thought I would make a new thread for this. I just thought it would be cool to see how much we spend on this stuff, here it goes.
125 Gal tank, stand, Hoods, and lights $635.00
40 Gal Sump refugium with protein skimmer $329.00
100lbs of live rock $200.00
60lbs base rock $60.00
2 Coralife Power Center $40.00
2 200watt heaters $ 30.00
2 Aquaclear 4000 Aquarium Power Heads $30.00
set of moomlights $35.00
300lbs Arginate sand $268.00
lights just 45 watt blue actin $40.00
Total $1627.00 not counting fish and some other stuff like power heads and things.
I have other equipment in my 55 gal tank that I will be moving to this tank with fish and stuff.
So now I get to start the long process of moving my 55 gal tank over so I can set my 125 in its place, then set it all up that should be fun though.
So In my 55 gal tank I have CC so I am wanting to try to seed my sand bed. Do you think if I put some of my CC in my tank it would be ok, maybee put the CC on some kind of net or something like that? Well I hope my spending is over for a little while at least the big dollars. If you guys see anything else I need just tell me I want cry to much
. If you can post a picture so we can see what they look like, so please post . here is a picture of my new 125 tank and my old 55, my new one is still work in progress.

:notsure: Acording to my wife ("keeper of the bank accounts") I spend, on average, b/w $200 & 250 per month on my "obsesion" (wife's assessment). I figure, realistically, I've got b/w 15,000 & 20,000 in my systems (spread out over last 6+ years)...

I've really been lucky the only thing I paid for is the wet/dry,tank the light, sand, base and lava rock, me and a friend went half on the LR, sand but I got 70lbs of LS for free, the stand I'm using is a heavy duty computer stand/desk that was free, and everything else was little or nothing. so I think I came out pretty well.

Hmm can even start to tally up the money.... but I know this one (29 gal) has over $1200 in it. But could be worth atlot more. I have a one of a kind star in it. and I have collected alot of the stuff myself also.

I don't even think about the total spent since Christmas 2000 when the wife bought me a 55 gal display with stand/canopy...lets just say her gift is still costing us...little did she know exactly how much that gift would eventually cost.
