I USUALY DO A 10 GALLON WEEKLY WATER CHANGE. IVE BEEN WANTING TO DO IT EVERY 2 WEEKS INSTEAD OF EVERY WEEK :thinking: ..MY TANK IS A 55G.......I DID A WATER CHANGE LAST WEEK AND WAS GOING TO DO ONE TODAY :thinking: . DO MY READINGS LOOK OK? CAN I DO THE WATER CHANGE NEXT WEEK? SO THEN IM DOING A 10G WATER CHANGE EVERY 2 WEEKS

Salinity is a lil low. Id raise it to 1.024. Your showing nitrites which is not good at any level. They must be 0 always.

i agree raise it to 1.024-1.025. the higher end of the scale is always better than the lower end espicially if you have inverts. but do it over a few weeks but i dont know if you have fish in there but if you dont have any fish just go ahead and get it right before adding anything.

THANKS, ILL JUST KEEP TOPPING OFF WITH SALTWATER TILL MY LEVEL IS UP TO 1.025..THAT SHOULD DO IT NICE AND SLOW :yes:

it depends on what he has in the tank that would make that low. inverts start dieing at 1.019 salinity. if he has no inverts then he can keep it at 1.019 if he wanted and that would be beneficial in the way that it would help control parasites in the tank. if he has inverts he can keep it at 1.022-1.023. the higher the salinity the easier it is for fish to get parasites such as ick. myself i have hermits, a purple lobster, snails, cleaner shrimp, fire shrimp, emerald crabs and i keep my salinity at 1.020 with out a problem and have done so for 2 years and i still have the same shrimps. over the years i've added the other inverts without a single one dieing.
