added a perc clown...nemo type...today. Already have a black one. Also have a striped (devil) damsel, domino, blue damsel, a lmblenny and a puffer. Everything is small, so I am not on overload yet...and by the time I am the other tank will be ready, but.......the point........every 'one' has gone nuts...crazy...except for the peaceful puffer......fish fights going on all over the place. If I can catch.......IF...the striped devil, he'll go to fish jail as will the domino......and ain't that a big IF...uh ha. Man, it's like somebody gave 'em too much caffiene. Geez. anyone know of a good fishy tranqualizer? lol, sorta!!!

Except for the blenny and puffer, all the other fish are of the "damsel" family (including the clowns) and every one of them has a territory larger than your 55 in its natural habitat...I hate to say it, but I believe all of your "damsels" will fight it out till the "lone survivor" is left...heck, the blenny and puffer might go belly up just from all of the stress in the tank and or the "lone survivor" might turn on them to try and kick them out of its territory, especially as it gets older (I speak from experiance, I had to completely tear apart a 180 once because a Yellow Tail Damsel had decide it wasn't going to allow anything else in the tank with it ... it was fine for the first 6 months or so and then the little

just started chasing everything, including tangs, angels, and a file fish)...

BTW, I did have 3 yellow Tails to start out with and everything was fine for about 6 months, chased each other some but nothing major, then, like a swith was flipped, all hell broke lose...the biggest Damsel killed the 2 smaller ones first then turned its attention to the other fish...I swear, fastest little SOB to have ever lived...

Thats why you don't normally see damsels in nice reef display tanks...
Thats also why I cycled with a shrimp
.
Anyways, have you tried the fish traps they sell? Are their stomachs bigger than their brain maybe? Do they sleep at night?

I would try rearranging your rockwork, as bigdogzack said they have their own territories.
Such as if you move its home(rock) to the other side of the tank it will confuse the fish.
And will take it a while to establish a new home.
Too much fighting could start another ich outbreak.
Also moving some rocks can give you an opportunity to catch the damsels.
I use 2 nets. One large and one med at the same time. That works for me.

It seems like everyones had trouble catchin there damsels except me. What i did was put a fish breeder container thing in the tank and then put live bine shrimp in it. the fish would swim up to the bottom of it and try to catch some through the little slots. So then they would rely on the container for food. then when all the shrimp was gone id tilt the container toward the fish and then theyd swim rite as if there was shrimp still there to catch. then all u have to do is just pick up the container and there u go. u got the lil devils.

I redid the rock before I put the new fish in. They are peaceful this morning......but that probably won't last long. I am going to attempt to catch the striped and dominoe and put them in the 10 gallon until a friend is ready to dumb a couple in his tank for cycling. GEEZ. damsels are all we can get around here, and I told the fish store yesterday....'you can't sell fish if you don't have them', the woman who orders is so dense...same things over and over again, never sells them...it's just stupid. They get beautiful tangs and then tell the customer they will eat flake food. uh uh. Well, I told the 'non sw tank employee' about the copper hurting the tangs....why the tang they had died...it starved to death...and I said..'if you get a variety of fish you have more of a chance of selling them than these same old same old damsels all the time. The girl agreed, crap....they don't even have crabs or snails. they have 2 sw tanks. I am just about done with buying fish for now....we'll travel the miles to get the last one or two and that will be it for this round. When the move is over and the new tank is ready...I'll order off swf. I'll need enough stuff to fill their $$ requirments, and that's a long way off anyway, so............whatever. The fun part is going to be.......when we move. Ya, gonna have to move this tank. I don't even wanna start to think about how to do that until everything is settled in stone and we are loading trucks, then I will cry for help!!! But, until then, I DO NOT WANNA KNOW!!!! LOL. :jumping:

man your water must be red by now! seriously you should be more considerate towards the fish its people like you that kill fish off, everyone cant help losses sometimes but that is just pure ignorance, i dont know if you just bought the fish so they could fight or like others you bought it without researching but i think people like you should not be allowed to keep fish
