HT Will Not Level Out. Help

My 10 gallon HT readings are off and I have new fish coming tomorrow. I did a water change and cleaned the filter. There is one small live rock in the tank. I don't know what else to do. I am scared to put the new ones right into my DT. I've ordered my fish from saltwaterfish.com, but I've never put anything directly into my DT.
My 75 gallon DT has 3 clownfish, one yellowtail damsel, 20 hermit crabs, 2 turbo snails, 5 margarita snails, a sally lightfoot crab and porcelain crab.
Any suggestions?

If your display tank is disease free and the levels are good, I would take about 5 gallons of display tank water and put in hospital tank. I often do this when doing a water change to keep the hospital tank and display at the same levels. This will reintroduce the bacteria needed to stabilize it.

Thank you. My new fish have arrived and my HT is ready to go.

Sorry I did not reply last night but I had so much to do getting ready for the new little ones.

What levels were off? If it was nitrate then you are good to go, but if it was something else then keep a very close eye on it.
