huge 25 head frogspawn in 14g biocube

Do you guys think a biocube with hardly any corals in it could sustain a 25 head frogspawn? This thing is pretty large.. I'm debating the purchase.

well you could buy it frag it down to fit the tank and sell or trade the other pieces for more pieces for your tank.

25 heads is not much a description. How big is the whole colony? Like will it take up 1/2 of the tank? Do you want to have other things in the tank?
Some things to know about Euphyllia divisa/cristata is that they are relatively fast growers. They are easy to frag. The have sweeper tentacles that can extend up to six inches beyond its base into the reef aquarium surroundings and sting other coral.

It's about 10+ inches across. I'm not sure how deep it went, I just barely caught a glimpse of it and wondered if my cube could support it. I know it would fit but I didn't know if it would be able to sustain itself with resources from only 14g of water.

Ok, so I took the plunge and got it! I guess we'll see how it does.
I over estimated the size. maybe 8 inches long. and about 6 deep, and on a huge stalk of skeleton that makes it stand about 8 inches tall.
I'm currently dealing with an issue in my tank, so I left it at the store, but I got it at a steal price.. 25 heads (not including splits) for $150. I'll get some pictures once I get it home!

i dont think the tank size is going to be a problem, but your lights might be. bio cubes have like 8 watts of lighting... i would say at least 25 watts, or more.
and if the frogspawn starts to get white after a month or so then i would say that its from your lights. good luck

No worries. I upgraded the lights to a 150 watt HQI sunpod awhile back. Just replaced the bulb less than two months ago too.
