HUMA HUMA reef safe any or a NO NO?

Just wondering if he might be ok in a reef or not. I dont think him and my Undul. trigger will get along with each other.

I had one when i did't have corals yet,he would eat my snails,crabs and shrimps.
Smartest fish i have ever had..

I really just depends on what you consider a "reef tank." IMO, useless snails and crabs are not really part of the reef. Fish and corals are what make up a true reef. It's so frustating to see some people give up on some beautiful fish, just because of a hermit crab or something they're mislead into thinking "are necessary" for their reef.

Most triggers will not consume a coral just because it's there. If the coral happens to be there when the trigger wants to file his teeth down on the live rock, so be it. You could do a very beautiful reef setup with some large soft corals, toadstool, finger, etc, and some mushrooms, rics, yumas.
To the OP, just noticed the Undulated Trigger part. If you don't already have him in a tank by himself, he will be shortly. Undulateds don't make for good tankmates.

I agree. The "CUC" is just a great marketing gimmick, IMO. Especially hermit crabs, they're cute, but serve no useful purpose.
