Humidity in the house -- any solutions?

What kind of venting do you have in the attic? If you've got a ridge or gable vents and soffit vents you really shouldnt need anything else. Air should be flowing in at the soffits and out through the gable or ridge, taking any humidity with it. If you can get to the edges of your attic check to make sure that the insulation isnt covering the soffit vents, as this is pretty common.

The problem is in the extreme cold and the distance the vents have to go horizontally and down (which then can come back up in the soffit) it all just frosts on the way or comes back in and frosts. What a PITA though. According to a "home improvement' website the only thing worse than my venting is venting directly into my attic lol.
