hungry tang?

I got a yellow tang about a month ago and he always seemed hungry,so I started feeding him more and now my nitrates are going up. How much should I feed him? he's about 4.5 inches long. I've been giving him flake in the morning and frost at night alternating nori on a clip every other day. It's just him and a royal gramma in the tank.

my yellow is a biggie too. I have a bunch of fish, but I feed mine twice a day too. try to cut back on the amount you are feeding. the rule is to under, not over, feed.

My Yellow tang runs the tank I feed him once a day and with some algea every other day i also 2 other tangs purple tang and a powder blue tang I LOVE MY TANGS but there will be a day ill have too get rid of 2 of them so they can all live stress free lives

i would get a stronger filter on ur tank. i feed my fish 3 times a day with a nori clip once a day. my nitrates, nitrites, and ammonia are all zero.

What's your filtration? Any powerheads?

i have 2 emperor 400 filters and about 1000gph flow on my powerheads

I'm bumping my filtration up...I'm sick of these nitrates! Water changes help but I only have two fish, so I guess It can't hurt.
