I thought that was a really great buck!! I hunt in CT also...I know they can get big there, that's for sure. Why did they smoke the thread??????

I dont know why they smoked the thread. Maybe the mod who got rid of it will see this thread and explain. Where do you hunt in CT? I hunt in East haddam off of 82.

I hunt the state forrest near Stonington. On the RI border. Off I-95

I hunt another two properties in East Hampton. Those properties are more for turkey hunting though.This year a buddy and I are going up the CT river and hunt on some state land with bows. Weve been hearing there are a ton on the bottom side of Hurd Park.

That's awesome!!! Sounds like a great trip!! We have a farm 1,100 acres in Western NY that we hunt turkey on. Looking forward to it already.

When does turkey season com in in NY? We open up here in the middle of march.

May 1st. We can hunt from sun up to noon.

In CT are season opens May 4 and runs for the month. We have to be out of the woods by noon though so the turkeys can breed. Cant wait for it myself!!!!

We only have a spring season here... Do y'all have a fall season also? I watched one of those hunting shows on the outdoor channel and I saw where y'all had some real good turkey hunting up that way. I can't wait to get out and try to get one this season. I haven't had a lot to do since deer season and duck season went out.

We got a alot of turkeys up here, but they are starting to dewindle ever since they brought in the fishercat!!! We have a fall archery and shotgun season also. For spring we can take 2 bearded birds and in the fall I think we can take 3 either --- birds. I would love to try duck and goose hunting.

We are only allowed to take 3 bearded birds duing the spring. I've only taken a Jake and that was several years ago. I really want to get a longbeard this year! Duck and Goose is really fun. I have a chocolate lab that I trained to fetch the bird and I enjoy watching her work as much as I do shooting the ducks. I'm not located in a flyway so the hunting can be pretty tough. We don't see too many birds. ...got to answer the phone...

I havent got one yet. last year was my first year of turkey hunting. Cant say i didnt have a shot at one though. I missed on 3 seperate occasion. I blamed it on the gun, it couldnt of been me!!!!
