so they just interviewed some folks that "rode out hurricane Rita". They have decided to ride this storm out. What they fail to understand is Rita was N O T H I N G like this storm for New O. It is WORSE. They will take the right front quadrant of this storm (Katrina did not even do that)
They might as well place their personal info on their bodies because they cannot ride this storm out on a BOAT!!!

For those of you that never experienced a hurricane, a category 1 is like just a bad day. Cat 2 is a scary-ish storm where you just stay inside all day and watch the weather channel. A cat 3 is like put up the shutters, buy gas and test the generator. Basically hunker down haha, and 4-5 are like bring everything inside and pray everything holds. It can get pretty nasty.
This is all in my opinion, and what we;ve done the last few. My house is 2 yrs old so Im sure those of you in older houses will definitely feel differently about this.

Made out well here in Slidell. Lost power @ 11:30am Monday. Cable, internet, water and sewerage soon followed.I ran battery powered airstones in both tanks til about 5pm when the weather eased up enough to open the garage and start up the generator. So I just ran the filters and skimmers and left the lights off for a day.
We got power around 10:30 am today, cable and internet right after that. Water pressure is getting better, but we are still under a no flush order. I hope everyone else made out as well as we did.

That must smell nice.

"I really gotta go, daddy"

Thankfully is a minimal usage condition now. So flush when you have to, no washing clothes or dishes unless outside. We bail out the tub after showers. We aquaria people have lots of hoses and bucket around so it's not too bad.

What's to rebuild? Gustav did very little damage in New Orleans. Stop being a troll.

We've been wanting Slack to leave the "aggressive forum" for quite some time with no luck, he has ruined many many threads over there....Just have to ignore him. He got banned by Journeyman for a few weeks, but came right back

What are you 12? Spell check is your friend. It will make you seem smarter than you are.
In my lifetime, I'm 40, There has been 1
hurricane that has caused severe flooding in New Orleans, Katrina. Before that in 1965 Betsy cause some flooding. Hurricanes don't just flood New Orleans and the gulf region. Hurricane Camille caused flooding from the gulf coast into Virginia. Look at a map and you will realize haw large an area that is. Gustav is still flooding Arkansas, 350 miles
from the landfall point. Pay attention.

you need 2 look at the map.the east coast is not under sea level .they dont need pumps to keep the ocean(or gulf)in your case out!!!
