how many of you live on the coast? r ya'll ready for a hurricane? (infomercial voice lol)
Well w/ DOLLY coming to the gulf coast i went and got a few things just in case. were "only" expected to get 10" of rain here in victoria,tx, but, it is nowhere near the end of hurricane season. just a few things i picked up...
got two of the bubble boxes, some DD batteries, new filters for the RO/DI unit, and one of those clear plastic things they put ur fish in at the lfs, gonna flip it around n put ice in it to keep temp down. its been 97 lately. anybody use a pump like the one in my last pic? i figure low flo is better than no flo.

I got something similar for the same reason. Liked the idea about the placstic containers ore ice to keep the temp down.I live in freeport so yeah we have a while to go before we're in the clear on hurricanes.

Always be prepared, have a generator on hand. BTW: Test it monthly, nothing like broken equipment when it's time to be used!!!!

i bought a generator also. a good investment. check out that dc to ac converter i have in the sale section. we had a 4 hour outtage last night and i ran 3 koralias and an aquaclear 70 off of it. (it was alot quieter than the generator, and if the power was off this morning when i woke up, i would have switched over to the generator for the sake of the lighting and fridge) you can buy a more powerful one to run more things, like heaters and such. all you need is an extention cord and a power strip.
btw- happy birthday.

We have a generator that can run a few things, one being my tank
Before we had it I lost a tank a few years back to that really bad season. Was out of power for like 2 weeks.
