Hi i just recently purchased a neon green Hydnophora and placed it in my tank. The coral seems to be doing fine but it has only been in there for two days is there anything special that i should know about this coral? Anyone have one? If so what should i do for this coral......I think that i have the proper lights and water quality for it. Any input is welcome....thanks in advance!

Hope this helps a little. There is a lot of info out there by doing a search on a search engine.

I have had one for just over a month. It is about half way up in my tank under 1 of the 175W MH's. When i bought it it was a small frag and the guy said it was a slow grower. About 3 inches a year. The polyps are extended well under a medium current.
Under your lights it should do fine. At lest it is doing well under my lights wich are similar.

I've had mine over two months. I was worried that the vho's wouldn't be enough but it has been thriving. I have it about 6 inches from the top of the tank in a medium current.

Golfish, as far as lights go i have 1)Hamilton 175w 10,000K MH, and 2)custom sealife 65w PC, under a custom built canopy. The tank is pretty bright!

ive got a decent sized one in my 135 that is very near the top of the tank. Under three metal halide lamps and 2 actinic VHO's it does fine and loves a little current form my sea swirl wavemakers. I feed all our corals with DT's once a week, and use black powderand some other stuff as a treat.
good luck! its an awesome coral!
