I have one on a maxijet 1200 in my 72 and I like it. Beware that they do reduce the flow rating on the powerhead that you put it on. However it does give a nice flow motion through the tank.

So in the stock powerfilter in the aquapod should I upgrade or since it is only 24 gallons I might be ok. It is rated at 290gpm

I just recently took mine off my PH. It really restricted the flow more than I like. On a scale of 1-10, I'd give it a 5.5.
