Hydor Koralia powerheads

I have a 72g bowfront, mostly fish-only, a few mushrooms and such. I have issues with not enough flow and wanted to get 2 Magnum 5 koralia powerheads. I think they are rated 1650 gph. I would like to get more coral and things down the road. Is this too much flow?
Thanks!

IMO you would be better off getting 3 smaller ones.....this way you won't be blowing the heck out of stuff, and will be able to have flow in different places too.....

What about 3 of the #4? They are 1400 gph....or should I go with 3 of the #3?

Personally I'd go with the 3's....or go with the new ones the Hydor Evolution...they are better also....They come in 750, 1000, and 1400gph's.....
I think they are even cheaper....which is always a plus. Depending on what you want, maybe get 2 750's and 1 1000....
Another personal opinion of mine.....I like to have a few so I can stagger them aroound the tank....I have 3 powerheads in my 54G, 3 PH's in my 29G, and 5 in my 225G (bigger ones of course)

I put two magnum 5's in my 120g 72" tank. Combined with my two K4's im at 50x turnover roughly. But the flow is too much IMO, I am on the fence about getting 2 more K4's.
I think meowzer is spot on. Smaller powerheads.
And it sounds like you dont have high WF needs anywyas, coupled with a smaller tank...ya, its deffinatly solid advice.

i hv a 72 bowfront also. i went with the hydor evo 1050 and 1400. the flow really wasnt sufficient or to my liking. i now run two tunze. but if u r going with hydor, go with two 1400 model or the regular koralias 3 and 4. i believe its easier to work around too much flow than too little.

tell that to my dendro ^_^
hes in a paciluar spot, I might move him just to acocmidate his low WF needs. Theres a natural tunnle that hes at the edge of, and it creates a stream of water that focuses right over his head.
