Hydro FLO Attachment to Powerhead

Does anyone use this attachment? I just got a Maxi-Jet 1200 powerhead and this rotating attachment. It rotates rather slowly and generates some tiny bubbles. I don't know where the bubbles come from as I did not attache the vent rubble tube. Any thoughts? I appreciate all your comments.

It shouldnt produce any bubbles at all. Is it possible your powerhead is sucking air being placed too close to the top? Is the hydor not attached correctly? Unattach and reattach to make sure. They do spin slowly, they are not meant to go fast. I have 2 of these and I like them. Its a great way to make water hit other areas of a tank without using expensive wave makers or those retarded timers that require several powerheads :p

Thank you for the help. I attached the FLO directly to the outflow and did not use the rubber vent tube. The powerhead is about 12 inches under the water surface. Maybe because my water return generates a lot of tiny bubbles which are sucked into the powerhead. No sure what to do with the bubbles from the water return. Any ideas? I have a Little Giant external pump. Anyone know how to get rid of the bubbles?

If you can run your inflow through a sponge it will tank care of your tiny bubbles also the hydroflows will at first realease some bubbles due to air being caught inside them when you place them in the tank and since they spin so slow it can remain insode for a little while. Make sure you clean the sponge at least once a month every week would be best
