So ive been reading a new book lately, and it offers the advice that if you have a power outtage, to add normal 3% Hydrogen peroxide, 1tsp per 50g, every 6 hours to keep the oxygenation up....HHRRMMM i dont frequently have long power outages but im wondering ai anyone has heard or tried this before?
(it did also say that too much would kill off all the nitirfying bacteria and could send the tank into a cycle again when the power came back on)

It can be done, but I find battery operated airstones far easier to use without any concern at all about crashing the system.

true and that would be the first method i use, i have had the issue of the pump wearing out though,,, ive gone through 6 of these and at almost $20 they are expensive, lol.
I was just trying to see if anyone has used it???
It is the first time ive ever heard of it. Its referenced in "The marine fish health & feeding handbook" its a newer book so I just wasnt sure...
