Hydrometer?????????????

I have a instant ocean hydrometer that reads 1.025 and i also have a Coralife hydrometer that reads 1.022-1.023. So which one do you think is right?????
Side note: coralife is certified calabrated

Both.....get a refractometer. Probably the cost of both of those would have almost got you a refractometer.

I don't have the funds right now for a refractometer .....so out of the two which one do you think is right?

Once i do that and get a reading can i just mark my hydrometers??? Then will i get a correct reading from the hydrometer?

Yes but that is a short term fix. You really have to clean hydrometers in order to see consistant readings.

The technology of hydrometers make them inaccurate by nature.
-> Required plug for hydrometer. Can get them fro $40 new, or cheaper from awk-shun sites. <-
Your second-best bet is going to be taking three to five readings with each hydrometer, and taking the average of all the readings. This should keep you from overcorrecting any issues due to swings you'll see on the hydrometer.

I have done that and have got the same readings from both of them.
