Hydrometers

I just had to share!
I now own a refractometer and didn't think anything about my hydrometer going missing. I went to the sump to do a water change and noticed it was inside the sump (gotta love 3 year olds). Again, I wasn't like panicking and rushing to get it so I just kinda left it.. the crabs were playing on in.. no biggie. That was 3 weeks ago. Last night I actually went to pull it out and it was FULL of copepods! I quickly put it back in... I guess with that huge amount of flow through the sump/fuge it gave them a nice home.

Best use for a hydrometer I have heard of...Refractometers are the way to go

Now instead of telling newbies to throw their hydrometers away, we have to recommend throwing them in!!!
