how low do i take the salinity when doing hypo right now its 1.012

I agree they are not as accurate but that is all I have. I have two of them so I hope I can get close to 1.009 or mybe 1.010, so I dont go to low what do u think. I cant get a refactometer right now I just got 50lbs of rock and my wife will not let me spend any more this month on my tank, i dont blame her because that is where all my money goes to.
