hypo during quarantine?

since ick is sometimes not visible is using hypo during quarantine a good idea, or is it to stressful to a fish? also might help them eat better i would think.

hi everybody,
so, do you keep the salinity at 1.009 when you introduce a new fish, then over the course of 3-4 weeks increase the salinity to your main tank? or do you start at at a "normal level" then work your way down to hyposalinity then back up? that would take longer. i think i've heard that fish can tolerate going down in salinity but not up. so i guess just stick 'em in the hypo?
