I got a Flame Angel on Father's Day, and today it has ick. It is in my 10gal. QT, param's Salinity 1.02; ph 8.5; amon .25 stopped checking and did a 50% water change. My question is too soon to start the Hypo treatment since he is new to his inviroment. He has been eating and ate today?

You can hypo a new fish the day that you get him if need be. It is not too soon. Why is the PH so high? With ammonia in there that is going to make it more toxic for him. Gradually bring the PH down when you do the water changes. The PH has a tendency to drop during hypo anyway, be sure that the drop isn't quick.

Your pH is currently way too high, which could lethal considering the ammonia you have.
What are you using to measure salinity?
