Hyposalinity treatment

I have notived a number of my fish starting to itch themselves against rocks. I have a 145 gallon FOWLR, and was thinking about applying hyposalinity treatment becasue I have too many fish to treat in my QT tank. Is this an intelligent way of reacting to multiple fish itching themselves. Also, could it be a bacterial problem, and if so how does one reccomend treating the entire tank? Also curious if anyone knows if hyposalinity will rid the tank of all parasites, even internal. Does anyone out there use hyposalinity as a regular practice of preventing parasites fromthriving in the aquarium?

No, hypo is not usually used in main tanks because you cannot do it in tanks with live rock, corals, and inverts.
Do you have any live rock, coral, or inverts in your tank?

I do have live rock and sand that aren't showing any signs of being alive. Could I instead treat the itching fish with medicated foods, if so any reccomendations. Also I am noticing my Koran angel is suffering from HLLE, what is the best nutrioinal plan this? As for the the hyposalinity treatment I will give my rocks a chance and not change the salinity.
Thanks

please list all fish in your tank and list all foods you feed now and ill see what i can do as far as a diet plan for them all goes.for your koran angel he needs an angel formulated diet as a starter if your not using spacific foods for angels this could be a major contributor to this disease(should be a frozen prepaired food for him flaked foods lose some nutrients during drying process.
as for medicated foods I use thera+A non medicated anti paresitic formula by spectrum for all my fish.2 times daily with a frozen variety of foods for each species with added selcon and garlic extreme every nite.

Current fish are:
4" Koran Angel, 5"Yellow Tang, 2" half & half dwarf angel, 5" dogace puffer, 2.5" Niger trigger, and 2 Hermit crabs.
Current Diet:
Lifeline minced Krill, Lifeline herbivore minced, I occasionally add diced fresh marine shrimp for my puffer, purchased from my grocer. Very recently I started applying Garlic Guard (by Seachem) to the foods. The fish are fed in the morning and at night.

I would suggest a much more wide and varied diet. The things I feed my fish include:
Formula A frozen food (10 meaty things such as krill, clam, mussels, shrimp, fish, prawn, etc. blended), Algae Formula frozen food (herbivore blend with seaweed, nori, and marine algae), Tetra Marine protein pellets, silversides, krill, Angel Formula (high in sponge - an essential for all angels), and seaweed, which is very high in vitamin C.
On top of all that, all foods are dosed with Garlic Xtreme, as well as the vitamin of the day, whether that be VitaChem, Selcon, or Zoe (all 3 are on a daily rotation).

my thoughts exactly
but i prefer spectrum pellets over tetra any day.
notice the lack of accual natural marine life ingredients and added dyes for coloration. in tetra vs spectrum
tetra flake and pellets from what i can tell have same ingredients.

Thanks unleashed, I appreciate the advice. I will keep that in mind when I head over to the LFS to restock on foods.
