As for your other question, you gave the ich time to adjust to the lower salinity so it may take more time for them to drop. After you see not one single sign or spec of ich, begin to count three weeks. You can let the fish go to four if you are worried. Keep us posted. We will walk you through this

Hi there,
All my fish has died except 1 tang which was covered with ick and now has brown spots on it. The clown and two anemones are perfect and healthy. This has been going on for 2 weeks with Quick Cure.
Just set up a QT for incoming fishes.
This is where I am confused. All the LFS tell me to leave the DT alone. Since the clown is not showing any symptom, do not bring him to the QT. Since DT is a 225 gal tank with 200 pounds of LR and covered 2" thick with LS, catching the clown and tang and hypoing the DT will be a major task.
My questions are:
1) by leaving the DT alone with the two fishes, 2 anemonies, 3 corals, will it be free of ick regardless of the outcome of whether the tang and clow die?
2) If yes to question 1, how long?
3) Of course, I have learned my lesson and will start hypoing the new fishes tomorrow and will follow a 4-week treatment.
Thanks

Murph,
Right after I came out of hypo blue tang developed couple of white spots and some scratching. It has been more than a week, and it has been all clear. I will continue monitoring her.
Thanks
