usually fish dont eat when they have ich correct? i will look for that food, i have spectrum a pellets too

They will eat with ich...fish can actually live "with" ich as a matter of fact, but not eating usually means a turn for the worse. With the ammonia and jump in salinity...I was worried that your fish was not going to make it, but if it is eating that is very good.

the spectrum a pellets should help some, when he was in the qt, his skin changed to dark grey, now its light grey again, he looks a lot better.
SO i should scoop all the live sand out of the qt? i use to use this but i upgraded to the 75. i think the ammonia spike was from the live sand.
i hated putting the pb tang in the fuge, but i had no choice for him in the ammonia was certain death, in fuge has a slight chance, we will see if he makes it through the night.

what level is your ammonia at? How many water changes have you done?

it was the highes ammonia i had seen somewhere like 20 ppm, i think its best to rid myself of the sand. I'll give u an update tomorrow
