Hyposalinity

My understnding is that you would do a water change, but add regular water. when my fish had ich I did this. i did a 6 gallon water change, with just Ro/di water. this brought my salinity from 1.024 to 1.020. You don't have to buy it. It is just adjusting the water in the tank.

Be carefull.
Hyposalinity means slowly reducing the salinity to 1.009 to kill off ich. This level is critical and should be tested with an accurate tool.
This is not done in the main tank as it will kill inverts etc.

I recommend you read the FAQ sticky at the top of the disease forum. Everything you need to know about hyposalinity (and lots of other good stuff too).
