i admit im stupid but help

What is a anemone i here it everywhere but i have no idea what it is, do i need one if i want clown fish, my tank has only been set up for a couple of weeks with fish only been in there for a few days, how long should i wait? could some one if pos send me a photo on a reply as i have said im very new to this and want the best tank i can get, please help im i know im being stupid

I dont have a great definition but: It's basically an invertabrate that usually has long tenticles with cells on the tips that will sting other organisms. It holds on to rocks with its foot which acts as an anchor. I believe it eliminates waste through its mouth (someone correct me if im wrong). It can serve as a home for clownfish, but Clowns dont need one to survive in an aquarium. It needs sufficient lighting too. Your tank should be set up for a few months however. But you can add clowns beforehand.
