So. I thought it would be enough simply to get a wet cloth, whipe down the inside of my 12g nano to remove dust particles and other unwanted debris.
Well, I should have rinsed it out with water because i just dumped my 10g of mixed salt water in the tank and now there are little particles everywhere, of what I dont know.. I'm assuming dust. Also, cat hairs, at least 100. Sigh.. I put in a cube of filter floss, maybe it will help clear it up then ill just pitch that filter floss completely?
Should i dump the tank, run to my LFS and get 10 more gallons of ro/di?

Is it just cat hair? LOL...Believe me cat hair won't hurt your tank.....Run your filter and it should filter out....You still have to begin your cycle so you have plenty of time before you put anything live in there

Were all good. It's already cleared up a whole lot. The cat hair got stuck on back intake real quick, got it removed. These other particles look semi-natural actually. I think were still OK.
Although I kinda wish I would have waited. I mean, I knew i should have waited to put LR and sand in before the water but oh well, I can siphon some out if need be. My empty tank is pretty though, mah cat wants to eat it

LOL...My cat is always looking...staring...chasing...but he will never catch the fishies
Some of the white stuff may be from the sand....sounds like you are good to begin your cycling....test test and test

Thanks for your responses!! I actually have only water in the tank currently. I am picking up LR and some argonite sand on my way home from work tomorrow.. then the cycling begins!! very excited.
Also, I picked up a second pump for my 5gallon buckets for water changes/mixing, and while it's not being used I decided...
To throw it in my cats automatic water dispenser dish. I got it so it makes a very nice slow flow and drip, doesnt splash, but keeps the water nice and movin around.
My cat on the other hand wont stop meowing at it and seems to hate it. I think once she relaxes and checks it out she will love it!!! I hope..
