I am getting a cleaner shrimp & yellow tang. I have a few questions on them.

I am new to fish. I know, you should start with freshwater, but I love Yellow Tangs sooo much. And I think cleaner shrimp are really pretty, too. I have done quite a bit of research, but everyone knows the real info comes from experience. What size cage would be best for these two? What would be a good pH level? Lighting? Filtering? Food? I have a pretty good idea on what to do, but once again, the good info comes from experience.

Well the absoulte minimum size tank recommended for a Yellow Tang is 50, but with a 50 you could get more then a cleaner shrimp and yellow tang if you wanted.

Food: Yellow tang prefers herbafore food, such as spirulina flakes or algae sheets
Lighting: Doesn't matter, just a cheap florescent (unless you want to keep coral)
Filtering: Live Rock/Live Sand/ Sump

OKay, thanks. Wow, quick replies. :p I might get a 60... that way, I could probably fit in a Lawnmower Blenny. I like them too.

Well, thanks guys! I just have one more question. Do tangs pick on shrimp? I have heard of many cases of Bullying Tangs.

You should know that a 60g tank is not suitable for LONG TERM CARE of the fish, and realistically you should aim for a longer tank to keep it for good, something in the 5-6' range. Smaller tanks may be OK for a couple of years, but you need to plan on something larger, or to trade it in.
I strongly suggest visiting the Archives forum and reading some of the threads for new hobbyists, and several others. You will need to do a lot of reading, some budgeting and make a lot of decisions. It is best to do this advance rather than "on the fly." Your pocket book and your fish will be better off.
