I am grateful for.........

With all the bad stuff going on lately, and SO many people losing their home and all their possesions yesterday in the fires, it made me realize that we all need stop and think. It is so easy to focus on what we don't have, or what else we want.
I was going to start this thread and then realized that the upcoming holiday is about giving thanks, but that is not the inspiration for this thread. The inspiration is the hundreds of people who lost everything yesterday, so sit back, take stock of your life and write down here one thing that you are grateful for. It can be your car, your kids, your dog, that really good apple you ate yesterday.........
Today I am grateful that I have a roof over my head.

BTW I know that this thread will go over like a fart in church so the rules are easy. You are allowed to say the same thing as someone else, you don't have to think of something original.

I am very grateful I was lucky enough to just land good paying job at a company that has been privately owned by the same family for a 150 years and does not lay off no matter how slow it gets.

I am grateful for North Coast Church. We don't care if you fart.
I am grateful for my second chance, which in reality was prolly my hundredth.
I am grateful for my SWF friends who are considerate and understanding...well, most of them anyway.
I am grateful that I live in a country where I have the freedoms to voice my opinions and chat with good people like Scotts and the rest of you guys.

Today I'm greatful for finding out that I do NOT have

[hr]
cancer. This has been hovering over our heads for the past 3 weeks and after 3 different doc visits and finally a very uncomfortable and painful biopsy yesterday, we received the great news today.
So today I'm greatful I'm not sick.

Thanks guys. I lost my mom to

[hr]
cancer in 1999 after 9 yr battle. She was only 64 when she died. I think my husband was more scared than me. I was ready to accept either result.

Wow that is intense...Glad to know you are OK
. Did anyone else here follow the Randy Pausch story? I went to his website regularly for over a year following his progress, and truly fell into a funk when he passed. A person that truly drank every bit of life he could and made the most of it.
I am grateful for each new day.

Really sorry to hear you had a scare Spidey, but glad you had good diagnosis. I had no idea you were going thru this. My Mom has been fighting cancer for 11 yrs (started with Br....) but lead to all over. It has just popped it's ugly head back up so she started treatments again 3 wks ago. I just shaved her head for her last week, as it was starting to come out again. I played it off, but what a sad thing to do to have to shave your Mom's head. Anyway, glad you are okay.
