I am looking for an awesome photo printer, what do u recommend?

Hello, I am getting a couple of digital slr cameras and would like to get an awesome photo printer. What would you guys recommend. I currenlty have an hp inkjet printer and I know there has to be some way better technology out there then this. The pics look good, but only for about 5 minutes and then it seams like they get ruined really fast. I heard about dye-sub and other printers but dont really know anything about them or other awesome printers out there.

Hi Mike,
I use the Hp G55 printer, scanner and copier(all in one) the photos look like they have been prof. made. I love mine, altho I got it several years ago, so I'm sure they have more up to date and even better stuff now. But I wouldn't trade mine for anything..

I have a canon s9000 I love it. We use it all the time for pics of my kids. No problems! Prints up to 11 x 17 (i think that's the right size) Seperate color cartriges so no waste. Easy to use.

Thanks everyone for your feedback. I have an hp that prints nice pics, but just looing for something on the next level. Like something the pros may use
